This little guy caused quite a stir recently.  When he escaped from his owners luggage and scurried around an airplane terrifying passengers.  It’s owner refused to step forward and claim the little trouble maker, so he’ll be spending his days at the local zoo from now on.  At least he doesn’t have to worry about becoming a carry on, again.  (continue reading…)

The utah zoo got a new attraction recently, with the birth of what is probably the cutest, most adorable giraffe you will ever see.

CINCINNATI, USA: Collect picture of Alexa, an Anatolian Shepherd Dog, and Sahara, a Cheetah when they her babies at Cincinnati Zoo . The pair, who love playing together in their enclosure, also help to educate the zoo’s visitors by showing people how two animals caan get along together and how dogs like Alexa are helping ensure the survival of cheetahs in Africa. Farmers in Africa often shoot cheetahs that try to hunt farm animals, but dogs like Alexa who live on the farms chase the cheetahs (who are extremely timid by nature) away from the farm animals, saving them from the farmers guns.

Congratulations mom, it’s a BOY!

Welcome to Ugly Ass Animals.  Before you get bent out of shape, let me explain.  Our name comes from a meme made famous by Fark.  It’s actually one of the few correct uses of irony you’ll ever find.  The meme is “Ugly ass baby jaguar born at zoo” or something similar, and of course, the baby animal in question is utterly adorable. Now you know, and as they say, knowledge is power.  Use it wisely.

Are you still reading this?  I’m not sure why, you should be looking through our user gallery, or checking out the archive.  I must warn you, it’s entirely possible that you will see something so cute, so adorable, so delectable that your head will in fact explode into candy.  It happened to the first tech we hired to work here, and now we make the techs wear special goggles that we have convinced them block a certain portion of the cute spectrum.  However, since the goggles do nothing, we also advise them to look away at least once per hour.

Seriously, why are you still reading this?  Alright, well I’ll take you on a tour then.  Your first stop should probably be the main page.  Why are you looking for a link?  You’re probably on the main page already and if you aren’t, click home.  You don’t need breadcrumbs or GPS to get home do you?  Good.  Now, moving on.  The user gallery is a good place to get your daily dose of cute.  Try not to overdo it though… head… candy… etc.  Once you’ve got your fill at the gallery, maybe you’ll want to caption an image?  Don’t let me stop you, I’ll wait…  Done?
